SI Joint & Pelvic Girdle Pain Therapy in Utah

Don’t Let Hip or Pelvic Pain Control Your Life

Are you experiencing deep, aching pain in your lower back, hips, or buttocks? Do you feel like your pelvis is “out of place” or unstable, especially with walking, stairs, or standing on one leg?

This isn’t just a normal part of aging or postpartum recovery—it’s often a sign of SI Joint Dysfunction or Pelvic Girdle Pain, and it can be treated effectively with targeted pelvic floor physical therapy.

At Reborn Pelvic Health & Wellness, we specialize in treating the complex coordination between your spine, sacrum, and pelvic floor to restore stability and eliminate pain—naturally.

What Is SI Joint / Pelvic Girdle Pain?

The sacroiliac joints (SIJ) connect the base of your spine to your pelvis. Dysfunction in these joints or surrounding ligaments and muscles can lead to instability, inflammation, and referred pain that radiates into the hips, buttocks, or thighs.

Pelvic girdle pain refers to any pain stemming from the joints and structures around the pelvic ring—including the SIJ, pubic symphysis, and sacrum.

Common Symptoms:

  • Deep pain in the lower back or buttock, often one-sided
  • Pain when rolling in bed, climbing stairs, or getting in/out of a car
  • Feeling like your pelvis is “twisting” or misaligned
  • Hip or groin pain that worsens with walking
  • Clicking, locking, or popping in the hips or SI area
  • Instability or giving way during movement
  • Pain during pregnancy or after childbirth

What Causes SI Joint & Pelvic Girdle Pain?

This condition is often caused by joint instability, ligament strain, or muscular imbalances in the pelvis and core. It can happen to anyone—but is especially common in:

  • Pregnant and postpartum women
  • Athletes with repetitive twisting/impact
  • People with prior pelvic or back injuries
  • Patients after pelvic or abdominal surgeries
  • Hypermobile individuals (e.g., EDS or joint laxity)
  • Individuals with leg length differences or gait issues

SIJ and pelvic girdle dysfunction rarely resolve with rest or medication alone. The key is stabilizing the core and retraining the pelvic system to work in sync.

Our SIJ & Pelvic Girdle Pain Treatment Approach

At Reborn Pelvic Health & Wellness, we identify the true source of your dysfunction—whether it’s muscular, biomechanical, or neurologically driven—and build a plan to resolve it.
Your Custom Treatment Plan May Include:

  • Manual therapy to release tight muscles and mobilize restricted joints
  • Pelvic alignment techniques to reset the position of the SIJ and pelvis
  • Stabilization training for deep core, glute, and pelvic floor muscles
  • Postural and gait retraining
  • Breathwork and pelvic floor coordination
  • Pregnancy-safe therapy for prenatal pelvic pain
  • Return-to-activity planning for athletes or postpartum moms

We work with your body’s natural systems to restore pelvic balance—so you can move with confidence again.

Dr. Betty’s passion for pelvic health and whole person wellness is immeasurable! I’ve gone to traditional physical therapy clinics in years past and found it difficult to keep/schedule appointments with young kids in tow. I have also went blindly to an in network provider only to find that it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. Betty offers IN HOME concierge PT services and a FREE 15 min phone consultation to see if she’s a good fit/what to expect/etc. Necessary forms can be filled out online prior to the appointment to maximize evaluation and treatment time. She has lots of tools in her at home tool kit! My kids are older now but I find schedules keep getting busier so without Betty coming to my home, I fear I would still just be trying to run through my nagging running injury. I am back to enjoying pain free miles! Compassion and convenience don’t often go together but with Betty they do!

Betty is PHENOMENAL at what she does. From our first conversation, it was really apparent that she has a huge wealth of knowledge about everything relating to pelvic PT, and she’s super passionate about it! I’ve had just three appointments with her so far, and have already seen huge improvement in my pelvic health–my menstrual cramps have gone from debilitating to nearly gone! And we’re working on lots of other things to help me gain awareness of, take responsibility for, and optimize my pelvic health!
